Gilbert De Clercq Signs Belgium's First Windrose WH13 Purchase Agreement
Belgian international transport company Internationaal Transport Gilbert De Clercq NV commits to electric long-haul, purchasing the Windrose WH13 Long Range All-Electric Truck and becoming a Level 3 Windrose service centre in Temse.
On May 17, 2026, Windrose Technology Antwerp NV and Internationaal Transport Gilbert De Clercq NV signed a Vehicle Purchase Agreement for one Windrose WH13 Long Range All-Electric Truck — the first Windrose truck purchase agreement executed in Belgium.
The relationship began in 2024 when Gilbert De Clercq (GDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Windrose to evaluate the WH13 for their international transport operations. The MOU covered an initial test phase in 2024–2025, giving GDC's drivers and fleet managers hands-on experience with the truck across real long-haul routes before any commercial commitment was made.
Following the test phase, a second-phase MOU extended the evaluation to commercial routes, assessing integration with GDC's existing fleet management tools and Belgian regulatory requirements including DIV registration. Satisfied with the results, GDC moved to a full purchase in 2026.
The WH13 delivered to GDC features Platform Science on-board computer integration, enabling seamless fleet telematics and route optimisation through GDC's existing management platform. The truck is covered by Windrose's 5-year / 600,000 km warranty and is priced under the company's diesel-parity model — a per-kilometre fee structure designed to match the total cost of diesel transport from day one, with pricing linked to the Belgian Viapass zero-emission exemption benefit.
Alongside the purchase, GDC has committed to becoming an authorised Level 3 Windrose service centre at their Temse facility on Kapelanielaan. A Level 3 service centre is qualified to perform drivetrain, battery, and high-voltage system servicing — the highest level of technical authorisation in Windrose's European service network — strengthening workshop capacity for Belgian and regional customers.
The agreement marks a significant milestone for Windrose's growth in Belgium: a customer who evaluated the truck rigorously over two years before signing, and who will simultaneously serve the local fleet as an authorised service partner.
Internationaal Transport Gilbert De Clercq NV operates from Kapelanielaan 10, 9140 Temse, Belgium. Learn more about the Windrose WH13 and the diesel-parity pricing model.
